Julieanne Kost’s Blog | Sand Dunes to Safari: Photographing Namibia’s Landscapes & Wildlife!

In May 2026, I’ll have the honor of guest lecturing on two back-to-back photography tours through Namibia with World Photo Adventures—and I’d love for you to join us!

The first journey, Namibia Landscapes (May 9–17), is a photographer’s dream: soaring sand dunes glowing at sunrise, abandoned diamond mining towns reclaimed by the desert, rugged mountain ranges, and surreal desert vistas. Guided by the legendary Darran Leal and supported by expert local guides, we’ll explore extraordinary locations that few travelers ever experience—perfect for capturing once-in-a-lifetime images.

Right after, we embark on Namibia Wildlife (May 17–26), a completely different yet equally unforgettable adventure. From the raw drama of the Skeleton Coast—with its roaring surf, vast seal colonies, and cultural encounters with the Himba people—to the wildlife-rich expanses of Etosha National Park, you’ll photograph elephants, lions, and countless other species in their natural habitat. With exclusive access and expert guidance, every day brings incredible opportunities.

You can join either tour on its own, but for those making the journey, I wholeheartedly recommend experiencing both. Together, these two trips form the ultimate Namibia photography expedition—an immersive blend of landscapes, culture, and wildlife in one of the most spectacular countries on earth.
